Thomas Asbridge is a historian and writer.

His latest book The Crusades: The War for the Holy Land, is published by Simon & Schuster in the UK and by Ecco Press in the USA.

Thomas wrote and presented a landmark BBC Two television series The Crusades based on this book, which aired in early 2012.
